📖 Getting Started

How do I add books to my library?

Lexent supports EPUB and FB2 formats. To import a book:

  1. Open the Files app or any app that can share files (Safari, Mail, etc.)
  2. Locate your EPUB or FB2 file
  3. Tap the Share button and select Lexent from the list
  4. The book will appear in your library instantly

What book formats are supported?

Lexent currently supports:

  • EPUB — the most popular e-book format
  • FB2 — widely used for Russian and Eastern European literature

How do I navigate between pages?

Swipe left or right to turn pages. You can also use the page slider at the bottom of the screen to jump to any page quickly. Tap the center of the screen to reveal reading controls.

🌍 AI Translation

How does AI translation work?

Lexent uses advanced AI to translate text in three modes:

  • Word Lookup — tap and hold a word to get an instant translation
  • Selective Translation — select a phrase or sentence, then tap Translate
  • Full Page Translation — translate the entire current page at once

Translation requires an active internet connection.

How many languages are supported?

Lexent supports translation into 50+ languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, and many more.

Translation isn't working — what should I check?

  • Ensure you have an active internet connection (Wi-Fi or cellular data)
  • Check that the correct target language is selected in Settings
  • Try force-closing the app and reopening it
  • If the issue persists, contact us at support@lexent.app

🎨 Reading Settings

How do I change the font or theme?

While reading, tap the center of the screen to open the reading controls bar. From there you can:

  • Switch between 8 font families
  • Adjust font size, line spacing, and margins
  • Choose from 6 themes: Light, Sepia, Dark, and more

Does Lexent remember where I stopped reading?

Yes. Lexent automatically saves your reading position for every book. When you reopen a book, it will resume from the exact page you left off.

🔧 Technical Issues

The app crashes or freezes

Try these steps:

  1. Force-close and reopen Lexent
  2. Restart your iPhone
  3. Make sure you have the latest version installed from the App Store
  4. Free up some storage space on your device

If the problem continues, send us your device model and iOS version at support@lexent.app.

A book isn't displaying correctly

Some EPUB or FB2 files may use non-standard formatting. Try:

  • Adjusting font size and margins in the reading controls
  • Switching to a different font family
  • If the file appears blank or corrupted, verify it opens correctly in another reader first

🔒 Privacy & Data

Where are my books stored?

All books and reading data are stored locally on your device. Lexent does not upload your books or personal data to any server. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.

How do I delete a book?

In the library, swipe left on a book and tap Delete, or press and hold a book cover to reveal the delete option. Deleting a book removes it from both the library and your device storage.
